How to Offer Replay After a Funeral Stream

How to make a funeral recording available for replay. Covers saving the recording, sharing privately, and providing a permanent keepsake for the family.

Not everyone can watch a funeral live. Offering a replay lets family members who missed the live broadcast watch in their own time, and gives the immediate family a recording they can return to.

Automatic replay

If your streaming platform automatically saves recordings, the replay is available on the same private event page immediately after the stream ends. Share the link again with the family and let them know the replay is available.

Downloading for the family

Download the recording and provide it to the family as a file they can keep permanently. A USB drive or a cloud storage link (Google Drive, Dropbox) are both appropriate.

Offer the file in the highest quality available. This may be the only video record of the service and the family will appreciate having a clean, high-resolution copy.

Time limits and removal

Ask the family how long they want the online replay to remain available. Some prefer it stays up indefinitely; others want it removed after a week or a month. Respect their wishes and remove it on the agreed date.

A lasting record

PassCast automatically saves every stream as a replay. Private, permanent, and available whenever the family needs it.
